Been traveling out in the middle of deep space Gotta go out gotta find myself a new place My world crumbles suffering a cruel fate No more time to live and learn Reality can’t sustain itself on just hate Each one that I’ve been to learns that lesson too late The universe responds when the pain is too great By letting itself burn And when your planet’s in its final swing Just remember that they did nothing Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come Watch as it erase your past Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come This next breath may be your last Society taking a huge hit Trusting world leaders as if they give a shit They won’t be around to watch your children get sick Off the fumes that profit them Snakes in power always come off real slick Always fall in love with the “get rich quick” Worry not for the mice who got you elected As the serpent sheds its skin I know too well, take my advice Reclaim your freedom from your new Christ Keep yourselves far out and away from the vice That’ll crush your body and your soul Should toxicity befall your little city tonight And you find yourself imprisoned under a new reich You better be prepared to put up a good fight Make your masters pay the toll And when your planet’s in its final swing Just remember that they did nothing Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come Watch as it erase your past Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come This next breath may be your last Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come Watch as it erase your past Cry out for the loved ones lost Cry out covered in ash Cry out for the hell that’s come This next breath may be your last Cry out Cry out Cry out Watch as they erase your past Cry out Cry out Cry out This next breath may be your last

Receiving a transmission from a place they call Earth I’d land this damn ship anywhere for what it’s worth I must be close enough to get a signal out here But far enough away that it won’t come in clear Wonder if I can get a signal out to them too If I can’t land down pretty soon, I may be screwed If their reality matches the one I left behind I could blend in pretty easy, we’ll be doing just fine Computer play transmission and let’s plan the next move If this planet digs pure madness, man we’re all gonna groove All night Every night

Hey! Ho! I want to go, to that late-night horror show Hey! Ho! I want to go, to the late-night horror show Friday night at midnight has become my reprieve from the week Getting in my lace and leather and getting down with my fellow freaks If you never cut loose quite like this, I feel sorry for you, hon. A hot summer night at this show will make your motor run Oh, dude looks like a lady And that lady is a man But that don’t really matter when they got us dancing Up! on the concession stand They got us dancing up! On the concession stand, yeah You can see this same old movie about a hundred different times But still something takes over you without reason or a rhyme Give yourself over to pleasure, let the virgin games begin Erotic nightmares in the air and the cast can’t reign us in Scream and curse up at the big screen Everybody understands That groovy music got us moving and we’re dancing… Up! On the concession stand They got us dancing up! On the concession stand, yeah, yeah! Wow! Hey! Ho! I want to go, to that late-night horror show x8 They got us dancing up! On the concession stand, yeah! They got us dancing up! On the concession stand, yeah I know! Alright! They got us dancing… on the concession stand

Same old shit on the tube And we don’t get much of a choice Left vs right vs public And you’ll never once hear our voice If you’re gonna fuck me at least buy me dinner first Corruption is your mistress And business can’t be going worse (Rock me x6) If you really wanna rock me (Show me x4) Show me political bukkake Hey call in congress now Don’t you stain the gown Stick it in my oval office And don’t pull it out Never spit it out Keep me gagged and bound In the office like a new bill just pass me around Yeah, yeah... It’s insane to think that We’d ever vote for different sides Two party system so they say As they all take us for a ride Bumping heads in public, but Bumping uglies in the sack Grab you by the pussy while The other stabs you in the back It’s the most expensive theater you Ever paid to see It has no end, you pay for life Force you to watch is their decree Backstage just like rockstars Pull the curtain over fast Bi-partican drugs and orgies Use your paycheck to wipe their ass (Rock me x6) If you really wanna rock me (Show me x4) Show me political bukkake Hey call in congress now Don’t you stain the gown Stick it in my oval office And don’t pull it out Never spit it out Keep me gagged and bound In the office like a new bill just pass me around No, no… (Rock me x6) And if you really wanna rock me (Show me x4) Show me political bukkake Ohh yeah This’ll be our little secret Only America’s gotta know Mmm...

She who raises freaks as one of her own Will come to grow a love she's never known And as time goes on the seeds will be sown From that garden we have all grown Mistress of the freaks watches close over you Some will even say she protects us too The sacrifice she makes so we may all bloom And still she'll smile to her tomb Darling, You wear your heart on your sleeve Unbeknownst to me You'll hold my hand all the way And darling, You keep us all safe and warm Even as the beasts swarm Defend us to the grave... She who raises freaks as one of her own Will come to grow a love she's never known And when the hearse comes to take us away The seeds of love we've sown will bloom a new day Mistress of the freaks hold us close Shower us from head to toe In your dark embrace so we continue to grow And prepare ourselves for the inevitable show

In a simple minutes time On the edge of ten thin dimes I took a little walk down Doyle's Fort Road And before the night was gone I met a desperate little zombie from a violent home And there's a dead man walking me home tonight! Well my granny's lost her mind The wind still blows her chimes I took another walk down Doyle's Fort Road Beneath the Irish moon I met a dozen little fairies singing Broadway tunes And there's a dead man walking me home tonight! An orange moon, a cloudless night The wind was howling with delight I turned a bend now you're nowhere in sight An orange moon, a cloudless night My skin was crawling with the fright I held your hand now you're nowhere in sight In another simple time On the strength of my last dime I took my last walk down Doyle's Fort Road My granny she was gone And all I could hear was the banshee's song And there's a dead man walking me home tonight... There's a dead man walking me home tonight... There's a dead man walking me home tonight!

Out in this wasteland Only the strongest survive And those who die around you Well, you take it in stride I’ve seen bonds break I’ve seen hatred grow Under a hellish heat I feel the winds of change blow And in the night I toss and turn Thinking of what I’ve done Those I once called friends Staring down my loaded gun The blood we shed the war we wage All those lives lost in vain A world like this is enough To drive a man insane These streets will turn you Once you’re in We all were forced to Live in sin Try as we might there’s No way out To love and to lose is what It’s about I feel the tension It’s all I’ve ever known Close your eyes just for a moment And they’ll kick you off the throne Make no mistake There’s no allegiance here You look after only yourself Every goddamn year We never chose this life We were the wayward young We were family back then Before this turf war had begun I really miss those days When we were broken but whole We were brothers bound by blood We were connected by our soul And in the night I stop and stare Looking at the road ahead Hear the waves crash on the shore I rode out with my friends Before the blood, before the war Before those lost in vain The hardest part was letting go When it hurts all the same These streets will turn you Once you’re in We all were forced to Live in sin Try as we might there’s No way out To love and to lose is what It’s about Solo These streets will turn you Once you’re in We all were forced to Live in sin Try as we might there’s No way out To love and to lose is what It’s about

Watch your back and keep your hand on your gun Your best clients will keep you on the run You're lookin' good for someone living on the street Tryna make rent in the city that never sleeps Side hustle still you're looking your best You can barely see your bulge in that dress In the back room before every show You still find time to powder your nose Clean off! It's a risky business But you want to see more Another customer Waits for you at the door Looking for a hit And a little action Everybody knows You're the main attraction You think I would let it Happen then forget it You gotta pay before you pet it With drugs and cosmetics You need a hit well I can get it Fix your face and sell it Take a chance and bet it All on drugs and cosmetics, oh yeah Another morning in some hotel room The boys are still out cold and you have to leave soon Work the corner overtime and cash in your checks Enrique says no freebies 'til you pay off your debt One more line will have you feeling alright Hell in high heels strutting into the night Reapply your lipstick and leave 'em your card Jack all their money and duck past the lobby guard All the suits having a midlife crisis At the bar supporting all my vices Paying by the hour tryna make it last They're your corporate ladder and you're climbing real fast Get my meals for free with champagne on ice Just to turn tricks and pretend to be nice Acting's the strongest skill you ever did have Back on the corner of east 6th and 2nd Ave. It's a dirty city, but you want to see more Another ambulance scrapes you up off the floor You're a total wreck, still you give satisfaction All the nurses look to get a piece of your action You think I would let it Happen then forget it You gotta pay before you pet it With drugs and cosmetics You need a hit well I can get it Fix your face and sell it Take a chance and bet it All on drugs and cosmetics, oh yeah... Ow! Alright!

Didn't know what I would do after When the party finally ends Is there anyone out to save me? Who the hell are my real friends? It's too comfortable in the darkness yeah, yeah... When you hit the bottom of the glass Leaving torture for the twilight Drowning out a sorted past And when you hit the sidewalk, You're still floating high above the ground Good to the last drop and you'll never know what happens next Sometimes it feels as if the outer space is your best friend Break down your rocket ship and tell me what you have left Can't tell if this is my last breath Spending all my nights with the stars Crashing through a happy home Surrounded by so many So why do I feel so alone Forgetting may come easy, yeah No forgiveness the next day Lethal impact on re-entry Baby, that's the price you pay And when you hit the asphalt, You're still floating high above the ground Good to the last drop and you'll never know what happens next Sometimes it feels as if the outer space is your best friend Break down your rocket ship and tell me what you have left Can't tell if this is my last breath Before you're gone, I hope you hear the songs of serenity Yeah, yeah... (Good to the last drop and you'll never know what happens next) (Sometimes it feels as if the outer space is your best friend) (Break down your rocket ship and tell me what you have left) (Can't tell if this is my last breath) I hope... they sing you songs of serenity I hope... they sing you songs of serenity I hope... they sing you songs of serenity I hope... you hear the songs of serenity

Channel 2 06:00
Spoken: Data entry number 833. We have tried… Well, I have tried thousands of times now to reach K.K. Reaper wherever he is, whatever reality he’s in now. Still, there’s no response. Maybe he really is gone. But he’s the only one who can help us now, so I have to keep trying. Hey out there it’s been 2 years and why you left is still unclear I don’t know if you’ll hear this and this world could still use your advice, my friend You unified us once before and now we need you once again Before the end… Spoken: I’m really still not sure how far this analog tech is transmitting. The blueprints say this setup should reach him anywhere and he should be able to transmit back on one of these channels. I wonder if something bad happened. If he’s stranded, hurt, maybe even… Well, you can’t fault me for trying. We need you back, I hate to say our planet Earth’s in disarray You once gave us the very means to break our chains and let us all be free But now we’re right back where we were, and I’m just staring at the screen Please talk to me… K.K.: Hello? Tommy: Holy- K.K.? K.K.: Can anyone hear me? My ship is stuck in orbit! Tommy: K.K., I can hear you! Are you there? K.K.: I don’t know who can hear this But my ships all broken down I need someone to help me Is there anyone around My engines failed in orbit Now I’m nowhere near the ground I need a space mechanic Because I am out of bounds I don’t know who can hear this But my ships all broken down I need someone to help me Is there anyone around Tommy: K.K. can you hear me, how can we get you down? Guide me to help you get back on the ground I’ve tried so long to reach you but you were always out of bounds I’ll try my best to fix this, and land you in my little town Tommy: I will find him on my own I must venture out alone Spoken: To save my precious home My planet’s failed and there’s no knowing If you’ve heard my cries for help In the unknown
13.
I will waste out here alone Without a planet to call home My engine’s failed and there’s no telling who has heard my cries for help In the unknown These transmissions on my screen All these things I wish I could’ve seen With my own eyes once again experience what it means To be free I miss my family and my friends I’ve nothing left to defend This cold dark vacuum can swallow me, I don’t regret a thing In the end Don’t be afraid Live as you’re made It’s better to burn out Than to fade away Don’t be afraid No one is saved Better to die Than live as a slave

Soldier 1: What is this, sir? General: A Reaper Pod. How the hell did it take this long for us to notice…? Search this spacecraft, men! Move it! Soldiers: Sir yes, sir! General: I thought what we did to the last one would’ve sent a message. Guess we’ll have to be clearer this time. We can’t allow for a repeat of last time The public mustn't know about this craft I have to keep this country in line So my rank and reputation has to last If another reaper has escaped A discharge will be my fate Please let him have been killed in the crash If he roams free there’s trouble ahead A revolution will be imminent His words like wildfire will spread Rebel against our law is the intent A foreigner has landed here And what he knows is still unclear But we execute those who are dissident Soldier 2: Sir, there’s no one in the ship and it looks like the computer has been removed. General: Fan out and search the perimeter. He couldn’t have gotten very far.

about

When K.K. Reaper started a journey into his solo career after parting ways with K.K. Reaper & the Carnies of Chaos, it was an intimidating endeavor. So much had happened up to December of 2019 that left him feeling uncertain and alone. He took to writing for the potential debut solo album at a friends house in Hazlet, NJ. There wasn't much direction yet, just a few ideas kicking around. Suddenly, from darkness came light and K.K. began making music that metaphorically encompassed all he had gone through in the past 6 to 7 years. Getting sober and leaving the past behind made him feel as though he was adrift, not sure where the next frontier would be. It was a new era, and so that became the album's major plot point. In typical, K.K. fashion, he didn't want to take himself too seriously, and still wanted to continue on with the idea of concept-rock hybrid albums. A New Era took on a space theme, represented by the feelings of isolation and endless possibilities in K.K.'s own life. The story follows him, stuck in orbit, while attempting to land on the planet he keeps receiving transmissions from. Each song varies drastically from track to track to give you the sense that the transmissions are random but also to give you a taste of all that's to come from K.K. Reaper as they continue on in their musical career. This album was an absolute labor of love for all involved, with months worth of heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears in the mix.
